Use our Ultimate Reward Current Account calculator to see how much you could save.
For most of the Ultimate Reward Current Account benefits, we have worked out the value of the savings by considering what the benefits could cost you if you bought them from a variety of suppliers. Some account benefits are for the first year only and others are ongoing. For details of the typical potential saving for each benefit and how the savings were calculated see our benefits calculation page.
AER stands for annual equivalent rate and shows what the interest rate would be if interest were paid and compounded each year. (In other words, you earn interest on the interest you leave in your account.) EAR is the equivalent annual rate. This is the actual annual cost of an overdraft and takes into account how often interest is paid into an account. It does not take into account other fees and charges. The gross rate is the rate of interest we pay before we take off income tax at the rate set by law. Overdrafts are subject to status and are repayable on demand.
Calls to 0845 numbers from BT landlines will cost no more than 2p a minute plus a 7p connection fee. The price of calls through other phone companies and from mobile phones will be different. The call prices we have quoted were correct in November 2008.
